First after you download deepfreeze click and install immediately. It will prompt you to check w/c drive are you gonna frozen. Example C and D drive but for me i would choose to check c and d drive so that no virus would penetrate into your hardrive.
once you've install the deepfreeze in your pc, it will restart your computer. For the first time you use deepfreeze it will prompt you to set your own password.
Please donot forget to memorize your password. This password will serve you in times if you want to unfreeze your computer. Then after that in your windows environment taskbar lower right icon, you will notice a box icon sorrounded with sort of an ice. This indicate your in a freeze mode.
Tip Freezemode: once the freeze mode icon is active everytime virus comes in or spyware, just let them come in to your computer. But dont worry every time your PC restart all VIRUSES are totally gone! Amazing isnt it!
Downside: The big pain in the neck of deepfreeze once you forgot to unfreeze and let say that you've already copy the files into your computer, you already save all the work. Because you trust your instincts but once you've restarted your computer all your hardwork well be gone. Not even a single scratch left.
I suggest that everytime you install or save a file into your hardrive make sure you unfreeze by shift clicking on the lower right icon in your taskbar. Then set to boot thawed. Restart your pc again, once youre in windows environment you will see a red mark X on the deepfreeze icon in lower right corner. It means you are allowed to install and save file into your PC.
So everytime if your in the internet just to stay away from viruses make sure to activate the deepfreeze again.
